The participants need to come ready to sing.

The participants need to be open to exploring their voice and be focused on listening and interacting in a group context rather than merely performing as an individual.

Describe clearly the content of this workshop:
After having discussed the purpose and role of improvisation as a singer, the students will learn to work as a group. Developing the ability to listen will be a major part of the workshop. Using that ability, exercises will be designed to facilitate interacting with each other’s musical ideas and adding improvisations that fit the global context. Vocal range, colour and texture will also be explored during the sessions in order to enhance the group improvisation.
