My name is Sjoukje Minkema, 21 years old and I’m studying for becoming a drama teacher. When I was 15 I got the lead role in the Frisian youth series ‘I.K.’ for Omrop Fryslân. After we filmed two seasons, I booked an audition for a new Frisian series ‘De Keet’. Where I got a big role of the little sister from the lead star.
After some television work I started playing theatre as well. That’s where I’m now. But that doesn’t keep me from camera-acting. I also starred in some short movies like for example; four 48H film projects. Last year I passed the minor Trainingsacteren. That means that I can act in training situations. For example to play a drug addict and social workers have to start a conversation with me to help me. This is what I do.
