Participants will have learned after doing this workshop:
How to create a masked character and how it will interact with the surroundings and with others. Students will have learnt more about themselves and expanded their performance vocabulary through learning a number of physical techniques. They will also have had the opportunity and experience of working alongside others to evaluate their progress.

What materials/equipment/other things participants need to bring to be able to do this workshop:
A pen or pencil.

Describe clearly the content of this workshop:
Each session will explore the use of masks which are renowned for releasing inhibitions, breaking patterns of performance as well as being lots of fun. They also encourage stillness, economy of movement, focus and good physical technique. Through the use of Trestle Theatre masks we will explore character, find exciting choices and discover the freedom of being someone completely different.
