You will have learned after doing this workshop: A student should have a better understanding in how to improvise in different styles, using different technical skills and approaches. What materials/equipment you need to bring to be able to do this workshop: Bring your own instrument. Other important things a participant should know to be able to do this workshop: A student should have a minimum of 5-6 years of practice/studied on his/her instrument + a few notions of harmony & chords. Content of this workshop is: The workshop is an introduction on how to improvise in different styles such as jazz, blues, “new acoustic”, latin.... Improvising: For jazz : different scales, at different speeds, chord progressions, arpeggios, scales, specific bowing technic, phrasing, playing a jazz standard In the "new acoustic style" ( D.
