Some basic principles for writing words and music and a basic knowledge of how the industry works.

What materials/equipment you need to bring to be able to do this workshop:
An instrument/a voice/questions/maybe a song or two and enthusiasm.

Other important things a participant should know to be able to do this workshop:
You need to speak English and have an interest in writing words/music.

The content of this workshop is:
Songwriting - general principles for writing words & music.
Writing within a Christian/Church context.
Important differences between writing for performance and writing for corporate worship.
The importance of lyrics/poetry/language.
Practical time writing songs - co writing together with others - a chance to play discuss & critique songs.
Getting your songs heard/Recording/Demos/Record Companies/Publishing.
Plenty of space for questions and discussion on all aspects of Songwriting
