You will have learned after doing this workshop:
Students will learn to deal with criticism of own lyrics and those of fellow students. They will learn new forms of creative working like how to overcome blockades, also ‘good’ and ‘bad’ rhymes and pronounciation, ability to express themselves in a better way, and how to have a greater impact on the audience by better expression through german lyrics.

What materials/equipment you need to bring to be able to do this workshop:
Bring pencil and paper and your own instrument if it is possible.

Other important things a participant should know to be able to do this workshop:
In Geman language only.

The content of this workshop is:
How is it possible that german song-lyrics often sound less smooth and eloquent as eg. English songs? What makes german lyrics sound good? The students will talk about different types and rules for german rhymes through practical exercises. They will also try to find a way what leads from an idea to a song. Is there a right and a wrong way? How do we deal with blockades? Feedback and analyses of German song-lyrics are also part of the module. Students will practice different ways to develop new expressions, literal pictures and poetic language.
