You will have learned after doing this workshop:
What we should mean by 'Christian art,' a more precise and intelligent way of understanding how art works, the way in which it is formed by a worldview, and how a worldview is given distinctive qualities by the Gospel. Preferably, a mind open to the possibilities of a secular Christianity.

What materials/equipment you need to bring to be able to do this workshop:
If possible, examples of their own favourite artworks (not only painting, can be poetry, drama, music, etc.)

The content of this workshop is:
We shall begin by discussing common ways of assessing the 'religious' quality in any artwork, and considering alternatives. Then an indepth consideration of Romans 12:1f, and a look at an example of Biblical art (Song of Solomon). What are distinctively Christian characteristics of a 'renewed mind? How to use it in the arts.
