CA 2010 is already 30 years essential for anyone who wants to pursue a study in the arts or is studying an aspect of the arts or culture. CA 2010 is also a great ‘refresher’ for any professional in the arts/culture. CA 2010: don’t miss this creative and inspirational ‘hot-spot’ for young and old.

The Christian Artists seminar is the place to be for concerts, workshops, expositions, dance, visual arts, media arts, lectures, poetry, creativity, personal challenge, personal development and networking.

This International Christian Artists Seminar has been a unique experience for 30 years.
CA 2010 will be held at the Hotel-/Conference Centre Zonneheuvel/SBI in the village Doorn, the Netherlands.

General
Christian Artists Seminar is an event organised by: Christian Artists Europe / CNV-Kunstenbond and supported by EZA and the European Commission.

Structure
The CA-seminar is 5 days of learning and inspiration. During each day, there are 5 shifts of workshops/master classes. All subjects will be held each day at the same time and the same location, continuing from the previous day.
*A day starts with worship in the chapel, followed by:
*a workshop/ master class
*the key plenary meeting starting with an artist followed by a lecturer/speaker
*another workshop/master class session
*lunch
*the ‘future stage’
*2 shifts of workshops/master classes
*dinner
*The evening will surprise you with presentations/performances by 7 different leading artists/groups/bands/companies; informal meetings and personal coaching upon request. This structure opens up many opportunities for learning, insight, inspiration, fellowship, and new European contacts.

CA2010
There are more than 35 different performances and presentations by artists & teachers from all over Europe. We also have 80 different workshops/modules, discussion groups, lectures, expositions, future stage, etc.

Modular/certificate
This learning is done through a modular system of workshops and master classes. Many of these modules are a great help to prepare yourself for the hard life on the labour market. These modules are part of the new European Academy for Culture and the Arts. This academy has prepared hundreds of modules for a life-long learning program, helping you in your professional career and personal development. A certificate is earned on completion of this module/workshop, consisting of at least a series of 4. The certificate is based on the European Credit Point system. Such ECPs may help you to get additional study points at your own school. There are also leadership sessions about society, the church and culture.

Theme
Each year, the seminar has a theme. Together, we will think about this challenge as it will help each Christian artist to find his/her way in society. For this year, we received clear direction to speak about the reality of work in the real world of art and culture: the clash of reality and dreams. We have to deal with vision and facts, education and experience, work and the world and what Christian ethics mean and creative ways of achieving harmony.

Workshops/modules
You can follow more than 80 different workshops/modules. On the website you will find an overview of all the workshops/modules. For example, there is singing, painting, performing, etc. The workshops/modules will be given by more than 60 professional teachers from all over Europe.

Future stage
Each day, there is a special stage with sound equipment where participants can perform. Professionals will help you and will give advice on how to continue as a dancer/performer/band/ choir/actor. It is a very stimulating learning experience, and many famous artists started on this CA-future-stage.

Expositions
There is also limited exhibition space for visual arts participants.

Language
Plenary meetings and most workshops will be held in English.

Costs & facilities
* Seminar: € 260,--, including entrance to all workshops, performances, etc.
Additional costs:
a] Arrange your own accommodation and NO meals: € 25,-- for SBI-conference centre
b] Arrange your own accommodation & use all meals at SBI-centre: € 270,--
c] Stay with your own tent at CA-campsite and take care for your own meals: € 50,--
d] Stay with your own tent at CA-campsite and use all meals at SBI-congrescentre: € 290,- e] SBI-Conference Centre is a 3-star hotel accommodation. By making use of the hotel facilities, you get a single room with shower/ toilet and all meals: € 385,--.
There are several double rooms available. Couple is twice single rate.
f] Cancellations:
Only written cancellations will be accepted. Down payment (of 50 euros) is non-refundable. After June 1st: no refunds on any your payments.

*All prices are per person and include free coffee/tea, twice a day.

CA campsite
The campsite is 200 meters from the centre in the middle of the woods. Tents are allowed, as are small caravans and campers. This campsite is primitive. There is no camp shop but there is a shopping centre in the nearby village, 5 km away.

Children
Children under the age of 14 don’t have access to the workshops. If you bring children you are fully responsible. Be aware: The woods are a protected area.

Youth
Is the Christian Artists Seminar the right place for young people to attend? Yes! From the age of 16 you have access to all workshops/modules. Terms of participation: high motivation, understand English and attend the whole period of 5 days.

Down payment

What next
After receiving you registration form and down payment, we will confirm your participation; you will receive the invoice for the reminder and you will get travel-instructions. When you sign up for a series of workshops/ modules, you will only receive a certificate if you follow the whole series.
