Karen Underwood

Karen Underwood is both Chair and Producer for ‘cre8.ed – creative resources in education.’ cre8.ed provides schools and learning centres with curriculum – linked training that brings together the Expressive Arts with Citizenship, Personal and Social Education, and, Religious Education through Teacher INSET workshops, classroom based work, Arts Festivals and Teacher Television.

Karen staged concerts and tours and acted as an artiste manager for a number of years before she became Creative Director of JC2000, ‘The Millennium Arts Festival for Schools’ that involved over 18,300 schools throughout the UK.

Karen then launched cre8.ed and has written/compiled further papers, books and programmes including child bereavement and a long term Social Priority project into the most socially deprived areas of the UK. She has also produced Arts Festivals in Rochester and Coventry.

In addition to cre8.ed she currently works as a Papermaker Sculptor, Consultant and Producer.
