Elly & Rikkert Zuiderveld

Already more than 40 years they write and sing their songs, mostly in Dutch, everywhere in Holland and Belgium. Since they got married in 1968 they has been known as singer-songwriter’s duo. In these years they released more than 40 albums, did thousands of concerts and wrote many songs for other singers.

Since they became christians in 1975 they have been able to be witnesses to many people. Part of their work is for children, not only on cd’s and during performances, but also for tv-series. One is currently running, ‘Elly en de wiebelwagen’. They also produced some childrens musicals, and wrote books: Elly published some books with children’s stories, Rikkert made some with oneliners and light-verse poetry. Besides that they are involved in some projects for kids in Kenya and Ghana. In 2000 they recieved a royal decoration and last year a journalist wrote a book about their life and work, ‘Vrije vogels’ (‘Free birds’).

Having a lot of experience also being pastors and councellors, Elly and Rikkert try, in eveything they do, to be friends to secular artists that they work together with.
