An Knaeps has studied Archaeology and Art Sciences, Intercultural Management and she has gained a Special Diploma in Social and Cultural Anthropology. Experience: Secretary of the Department for Art Performances and Artistic Education of the Christian Labour Movement: offer artistic training to a wide audience from primarly the Christian Labour Movement, to support and encourage them to spend more time with art-related matters. Employed by the Flemish Centre for Amateur Arts: the support of artistic, socio-artistic processes, in conjuction with social actors, in order to create a more humane society. Employed by the Flemish Community - (Intervational) Culture Policy Cell at the CultureDepartment: to contribute towards a culture policy with focus on influencing developments within the framework of the future vision of the Administration and the Minister (conceptual, advisory, co-ordinating and research levels). Representation of the Flemish Community at the EU, Council of Europe, UNESCO: in the management committee for EU-Culture 2000-program. Contribute to the policy letters of the Minister of Culture and the government contribution of the Culture administration. Preparation of the states general of the Minister of Culture with regard to the culture policy in an international context. Advisory Committee for Central and East European co-operation: to grant proect subsidies to a number of projects in EU-new and expansion countres. Speaker on several seminars concerning 'art and society' and several publications in magazines.
