Harder, Torsten from Germany
Born in 1965, he has been studied cello and piano since 1970, and cello in the Hanns Eisler School in Berlin in 1978. Torsten Harder has worked from 1985 - 1989 as cellist, and 1991 - 1996 as musician and theatrical composer in the Mecklenburg Neusterlitz Theatre. Since 1996 he has worked as free-lance composer and cellist. As solo cellist Torsten Harder is to be heard in concerts, to special events and on CDs. He is not only a cellist in the customary sense, but loves to improvise style-covering. Thus he plays in orchestras as well as with singer-songwriters and in rock-bands, blues tape or jazz-bands. Besides he informs at the music school in Neusterlitz in fields of cello, saxophone, E guitar, improvisation, theory and workshops for bands.
