Lu Cozma
Lu began to sing from an early age. Like her father before her she had always been drawn to Irish folk and so followed in his footsteps finding every opportunity possible to perform some of the songs she had listened to as a child.
By her mid teens she sang her own pop compositions on national TV and radio. Constantly enjoying the pleasures of every genre, she performed in rock, pop and folk bands, whilst also studying acting at The Questors Theatre, London.
Lu went travelling and lived in Romania shortly after the revolution. She worked with children between the ages of 0-7 years, in an orphanage. This experience had a profound affect on her life and whilst there, realised the true meaning of communicating to disadvantaged and emotionally distressed children, through the medium of music.
On meeting her future husband in Romania they decided to settle in England and after marrying Lu concentrated on bringing up their family of two girls.
In recent years Lu has had the privilege of working with the likes of Martin Rushent (former Producer for the ‘Human League’). She co-wrote the album ‘5 Months 5 Days’ with Gordon Vaughan and they performed at venues throughout the UK.
Lu is presently working on a project with Steve Askew, guitarist in Kajagoogoo. They are song writing together and producing an upcoming album. In preparation Lu has been performing with Steve. ‘LU COZMA’ the artist is receiving music industry interest.
